Frequently asked

Straight answers, no small print.

Everything our customers ask us most weeks. If your question isn’t here, email us or book a demo.

Ordering

Ordering.

How does the QuickCabinets portal work?

Log in, add a room, enter your wall dimensions and finishes, and the portal calculates live pricing as you build. Submit the order when you’re ready and we confirm inside one business day.

Do I need a trade account to order?

No. Both DIY homeowners and ABN-holding trades order through the same portal. Trade accounts unlock tiered pricing and priority production. DIY customers pay standard retail pricing at checkout.

Can I change my order after submitting?

Yes, up until we begin cutting. Email [email protected] with your order number and the changes. Once cutting has started we generally can’t change the order, but we can often add to it.

What file formats can I send for custom work?

DXF, DWG, AI vector files preferred. Dimensioned PDF plans work too. Hand sketches are fine but attract a drafting fee ($150–$400 depending on scope). Book a drafting session.

Can I order samples before committing?

Yes. We offer swatch packs for $29 (refunded against your first $300+ order) covering every decor, edge and handle finish we stock.

Lead Times & Turnaround

Lead Times & Turnaround.

What is your standard turnaround?

Whiteboard 1–2 business days. Colourboard from 5 business days and is subject to supplier stock availability. Trade accounts get priority. Typically 3 business days on whiteboard.

Can you rush an order?

Sometimes. Call us directly. We’ll tell you honestly whether it’s possible and what the priority fee would be. We don’t bury urgent work in small print.

What if I’ve made a mistake and need a remake?

Remakes go to the front of the workshop queue. Typical remake turnaround is 48–72 hours. If it was our cut error the remake is free; if it was a measurement error, you pay cost price only.

Do you work weekends?

Our workshop runs Monday to Friday. Urgent pickups can occasionally be arranged on Saturday mornings by prior arrangement.

How do I organise a pickup?

Book a pickup slot when you accept your quote. Come to Unit 17/12-18 Ellerslie Rd during opening hours and we’ll load for you. Call ahead so we have your job pulled and ready.

Materials

Materials.

Which board brands do you stock?

Polytec, Laminex, Formica, Wilsonart and StyleLite. All decors across each brand are available. In-stock items ship same-week, order-in items add 3–5 days.

What’s the difference between whiteboard and colourboard?

Whiteboard (particleboard) is our fastest-turnaround stock. Standard 1–2 day lead time. Colourboard (pre-laminated, decorative finishes) is from 5 days and subject to supplier stock. Some decors ship next day, others require a supplier order-in. Colourboard is what you see in finished kitchens; whiteboard is the unfinished core.

Do you stock moisture-rated board for wet areas?

Yes. All standard 16 mm board is moisture-rated for normal kitchen / laundry / bathroom use. For extreme-moisture applications (outdoor kitchens, dog-wash nooks, heavy-splash laundries) we recommend our Alfresco waterproof board.

What edge banding do you use?

All edges are banded with EVA hot-melt glue as standard. The industry workhorse for residential cabinetry, with strong adhesion and a clean, flush finish.

Services

Services.

Do you offer assembly?

Yes. Flag “Assembly” on your order and your cabinets arrive pre-built and ready to install. Typical add: 10–15% on cabinet value.

Can you design a kitchen for me?

Yes. Our Design & Measure service produces full 3D renders, elevations and a CNC-ready cut list. Priced by scope, starts at $500.

Do you install?

Create Cuts is supply-only. For installation in the Brisbane-Logan-Gold Coast corridor we refer to our parent company Create Joinery’s install team. Outside that radius we can recommend trusted cabinet installers.

Can you handle custom CNC routing?

Yes. Curves, arches, perforated panels, custom door profiles, integrated-handle routing. All drafted and routed in-house. Send DXF/DWG/AI for instant pricing, or book a drafting session if you only have sketches.

Trade Accounts

Register on the Trade page with your ABN. Our trade team reviews and approves inside one business day. You get an email confirming your account, portal access, and initial trade pricing tier.

What does the trade discount look like?

Trade pricing is tiered by annual spend. Entry-level discount applies to all approved ABN accounts from the first order. Higher tiers unlock as your annual volume grows.
